Malta is not just an island, but a true crossroads of civilizations Located between Sicily and North Africa, Malta is the southernmost EU country. Here you’ll find a unique blend of British influence (left-side driving, UK-style sockets), Arabic roots (the language sounds like a mix of Arabic and Italian), and Mediterranean ease. With more than 300 sunny days a year, and temples older than the Egyptian pyramids, Malta is full of surprises.
Hi, I’m Aksana, a traveler inspired by exploring new places and discovering myself through journeys. I host the podcast Večer u valasach.
I’ve visited over 40 countries, lived abroad for 3 years, and have experience traveling solo, with family, in groups, and with friends.
I’ve been to Malta twice: first on a 4-day solo trip in February, then for a week with my family in late November-December. Both times, the weather was great. This place doesn’t let me go — I kept coming back, exploring it on foot, by bus, alone and with family.
This guide is based on my personal experience, lived days, moves, emotions, and conclusions.
I want you not just to “see the sights” but to feel Malta: its old streets, turquoise bays, cozy villages, sunny rhythm, and, of course, its history.
